Random Name Picker

Pick several names at once

No time for a spin? Paste the list here and pick one or more names instantly, with no repeats until everyone has been picked.

Where people use it

• Classrooms: who answers next, who presents first, who hands out the books. "No repeats" means every student is called once before anyone is called twice.
• Meetings and stand-ups: a random speaking order stops the same people always going first or last.
• Chores and rosters: who does the dishes, who drives, who picks the film.
• Secret Santa and gift swaps: pick names one at a time and pass the screen around.

How many names per draw

Set "Pick" to any number. The picker draws that many different names in a random order, which you can read as first, second, third and so on. It never picks the same name twice in one draw.

More tools

The wheel builds suspense for a class or a party; the quick picker above is faster for long lists. For splitting a group, use the team generator.

The picks are made with your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so every name has the same chance. See how it works.
